to the inventor of weekends: i applaud you.

that’s a picture that charles took 2-3 weeks ago on his cell phone of the view that greeted him as he stepped out of my front door to go to work. we hardly ever get rainbows here in socal! what a pretty sight.

on saturday, we went to san gabriel to eat dim sum with bev, johnny, jack & johnny’s parents, who are visiting from.. where do they live now? florida? it was very delicious, but the place is pretty new and all the waiters and waitresses are really rude! i don’t know what the place is called, but it’s upstairs in the shopping center in the plaza that’s on the corner of del mar and valley. one of the good things, as i was telling charles during the meal, was that it was so loud in there that no other restaurant patrons were able to hear any of jack’s outbursts. haha!

this is an awesome video of jack sitting on johnny’s shoulders. ah, to be delighted by such simple matters.

i have no pictures of what happened on sunday, but i overate at dinner and i wanted to throw up. you’ll rue the day you crossed me, korean bbq! sadly, i have gained 6 pounds over the last year (all in my stomach area, if you saw it, you wouldn’t believe it, it’s so gross, eew, let’s not talk about it) so now i’m trying to diet (don’t ask me what my strategy is, i don’t know, have i really been eating less, not really, no more ice cream sandwiches, more oatmeal) and exercise by playing wii fit. really, i exercise all the time. *hem, hem*

yeah, we played. i made her run for the ball a lot, though.

so this past week all the streets in my community were repaved. why? i wish i knew. i think the homeowner’s association just has extra money and needed to spend it somewhere. our community is relatively new and there’s not much traffic in here at all, and the roads were completely fine. it’s such a waste of money and resources. how happy would the homeowners have been to just have a partial refund of their fees? they stuck “no parking” signs all over the community in really random places, like right between my driveway and my neighbor’s driveway. it was so confusing that everyone who usually parks a car on their driveway moved all of their cars somewhere else, cuz no one knew what they were going to do. ugh.

i hardly ever get to play with atari anymore. i know life’s been hard on him (especially since he got that ulcer) and i hope he’s been feeling better. apparently he’s very sheddy again. i always love taking pictures of him mid-yawn because it makes him look ferocious! rawr!

i got to go to the park with jack this afternoon and as usual he delighted in the swings. i think he actually thinks he’s flying.. you can see his little legs and arms flailing and his happy sounds in the short video i took.

 

he also got in some sliding action with his grandma and daddy. what a lucky boy!

we had korean bbq for dinner, and i’m SO full. i felt like throwing up after, haha. at least johnny was there to entertain me for a while when we were waiting for the valet to bring us our cars. he had money in his eyes.. really..

his deep, white person eye sockets (his words, not mine) are simply amazing, aren’t they? haha.

ah, now i have all weekend to look forward to! if only it weren’t tainted by the test i have on monday.. at least i have my mom and my sister by my side
